First, when you get a new cat it is not just about picking it out  it's a thing to think about. You know if you want that cat when , you like the cat and the cat likes you back. When, you get a new cat and you have other cats, you would need to take the cat in one room and wait till it feels comfortably letting them walk around where ever it wants. Next , once you feel that your cat is ready take your other cat in the room. Your new cat might be a bit scared and hide or hiss. I doubt that your new cat will try to go up and bother the other cat. Do the same thing with your older cat ,let them do whatever they want to do.

Most cats should not be treated like a regular cat. You must make sure you give them love, Feed them, and pet them or they may get lonley, and a lonly cat. You can tell your cat is lonley because they would be  angry ,or very shy. You usually want your cat to be treated how it deserved to be treated.

When you adopt a from a shelter like Kalamazoo Animal rescue it has probally had a hard life before someone found it. Most cats have been found beaten, badly hurt, or frezzing.
